Seniors County Stableford Final

After some much needed rain in the preceding days 56 Seniors took to Gloucester GC to compete for the Seniors County Stableford title. All those present had qualified through their club qualifier in either Division 1 which was for those with Handicap Index’s up to 12.4 or Division 2 for those with Handicap Index’s of 12.5 and above. The course was presented beautifully by the Greenkeeping team at Gloucester but it would prove to be a tough challenge which was reflected in the scoring. The Divisional scoring was as follows:

Division 1:

1st – Harry Sayers (TP Golf) 37 points

2nd – Steve Heaps (The Kendleshire) 37 points

3rd – Adrian Chandler (Westonbirt) 35 points

Division 2:

1st – Tony Cole (Brickhampton Court) 38 points and overall winner

2nd – Patrick Kehoe (Gloucester) 34 points

3rd – Paul Walsh (Painswick) 32 points

Well done to the prize winners above and a special mention for Tony Cole as the overall Champion. Tony’s victory gives him an exemption into next years final. Thank you to all the clubs who held qualifiers this year and we hope that more clubs will do the same in 2023. Our thanks go to all at Gloucester GC for all that they did to host the event and for their warm hospitality throughout.
