The 18 hole, par 72, championship course has been designed to obtain the greatest possible benefit from the natural form of the hillside. The varying undulations as the hill falls from a height of 600 feet to 200 feet at the base of the course: The streams and small ponds which time has worn into the landscape plus many tree and wooded areas which have been left as nature intended and gives the course a natural beauty - and its golfers some natural hazards!
The first 11 holes will have you negotiating the lower slopes with streams running parallel and across the fairways. Enjoy the 12th which is a challenging uphill par 3 before entering the scenic holes which overlook Gloucester and the beautiful surrounding countryside; These incorporate some interesting and tricky holes - especially the downhill 18th where many golfers have tried to drive the green, with disastrous consequences!
Gloucester Golf club offers a superb range of facilities both on and off the course. Warm up and practise your swing on the driving range before tackling the challenging 18 hole course.
